Vendor Training
For Maryland organizations looking to host Creative Aging programming
Organizations can send one (1) representative.
Upon successful completion, vendors will:
· Receive a $1,500 grant for a Creative Aging residency
· Be featured in the Maryland Creative Aging Directory
· Be invited to attend the Creative Aging Provider Showcase in February 2022
Training Goals
This 6-hour training will take a cohort of creative aging vendors through the Lifetime Arts Creative Aging Foundations course. Topics include:
Current research on arts and aging
Inherent biases about aging
Best practices in the field
What’s different about adult learning
How to apply K-12 arts ed expertise to 55+
How to develop responsive programming that is inclusive, diverse, and equitable
The planning, implementation, and sustainability of successful programming
Developing impactful cross-sector and community partnerships
How to deliver both in-person and remote programming
Successful completion of the Creative Aging Vendor Training attendance at the three sessions. Grants will be awarded to all vendors upon successful completion.
Grant details: Vendors will be required to submit a budget and overview of the project for approval by the Maryland State Department of Education. Once approved, vendors and artists can proceed. Once work is completed, vendors will share an artifact from the project and complete a brief evaluation survey. Then payment will be distributed. All funds must be liquidated by June 30, 2022.

January 18, 19 & 20, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
